Gwen McConnell

Gwen McConnell started with EF Hutton in Charlotte in 1985 and acquired her Series 7 during this period. After working in the financial industry for 17 years, Gwen decided to work part-time with her family’s business in order to be home to raise her daughter, Jessica. She continues to work with the family business as the accountant and manager of their rental property. When Jessica began college, Gwen decided to return to the investment industry to work with Bluestone Financial Advisors in a parttime Advisor Support capacity.  

Jessica, is now married and lives in Dallas, North Carolina with her husband Keith Barrett.   She started a career at Duke Energy in the IT department and Keith owns a dog training business, Paws in Pastures.  He plans to expand by building a kennel for boarding and extended training.

Gwen has worked with the YMCA as a fitness instructor for over 30 years. She has also worked with the Gaston County Board of Elections more than 19 years as a Chief Judge managing the polls in Dallas. She enjoys sports, the outdoors, and being with family.

Gwen graduated from Elon College with a BS in Accounting and Business Administration. She lives in Dallas and attends Flint Groves Baptist Church in Gastonia.
